I know a lot of people are moral without believing in God.

But for me, for most of my life I didn't have much of a backbone, and I'm fairly certain I would have fell into some vices because of peer pressure if it hadn't of been for that last thread of 'no, this is against my religion' keeping me away from it.

Thanks

I would be just slightly less, as I have always a good moral character, knowing Jesus just enhanced my morals.

I thing that everything starts in the family. If you family has any kind of values these would be taught to you during your childhood.
Right and wrong is not a matter of fear of God but more how to coexist with other humans.

Which God are we talking about here. The judgmental christian God idea, creates an atmosphere of hate that inhibits morality.

Good thing that he is not real.

How can any of us know what version of ourselves we would have been if we had taken a different fork in the road?

Since none of us has access to the alternate universe in which a different version of ourselves took a different path, I doubt there is any way any of us could truly definitively state what our theoretical alternate would really be like.

your moral values have nothing to do with God. I think that your moral values are giving to you by your parents , culture, and enviornment

I will agree with danicolgirl.

Personally speaking, being moral is something that my parents taught me, it has nothing to do with religion.

Good question. Can't give you an answer as your question is a supposition. But I'll think about it over my bong hits. Anyway, I'll give you a thumbs up for the question.
