Are you and gf old enough to get married without parental consent?
Do you have a job that will provide the basic neccessities of life (rent,electric,heat,water,transportation to/from a job,etc.)?
If you can provide these things, then who cares what mom thinks? She is not the one who will be living with you.
If gf hasn't got a problem with your income, then don't worry about the rest.

well that depends on how much you make. If you dont make enough, then you need to pick up some overtime hours, look for a new career, or go back to school to get a better job, whatever you do, show her mother that you are trying really hard to make enough.

Your value, as a person, shouldn't be connected to your income. Your girlfriend will just have to decide what's more important; her mother's feelings, or her own. Good luck!

well try to give her money..proably thats what she's looking for..she proably thinks that way because you don't support them with the things they want..but from where i see it the guys try to help out the way they could but the mothers don't appreciate what they are trying to do.. so thats what i notice because me and my boyfriend going through almost the same thing with my mother but those things kinda get you mad but just help out the way you could..
