There are two types of Bacteria. One is required to counter the bad odor from skin joints/hides which get killed by overuse of chemicals. You have to control your diet and do some spiritual exercise like Yoga and breathing exercise to control your mind. It is the mind which activates the glands that emit foul odor near arm pit/ genitals/ and other unexposed parts in the human body.

The alcohol will only make your body more dry, when your system perceives that, it will make more oil and therefore the cycle will continue. Take a couple of showers a day to start with, make sure the water is cool not hot as this will induce your glands to make more sweat. After your shower dry real well and use a medicated talcum powder, your druggist can tell you which ones are good. Last, pay attention to what you eat, if you eat a lot of garlic, onion or other heavy spices like chili, they can come out of your pores. Onion and garlic are healthy, they can kill bad bacteria in your system but the problem may be the speed at which they leave your body, do not use laxatives, eat a diet with lots of fiber, fresh veggies and fruit and also eat nothing but whole grain breads and pasta. Eating lots of fiber cleans out your system, may take a few days and a lot of flatulence so start on the weekend. Start the day with oatmeal, double the per person serving, the one you have to cook for five minutes and that will also send all the fecal matter built up in your intestines out and away from your body so the odor is not emanated out when you sweat.

What people here are telling you is the truth. Alcohol will do more damage than help. Antibacterial soap will help. Try eating more fiber and do not eat red meat for a while, see if that helps, that helped a friend of mine. You need to do something about your clothes, they probably absorbed your odor, so even if you succeed with your BO, your clothes will give it back. Try using baking soda and hot water (depending on the fabrics) to flush out the odor. The medicated talcum like gold bond sounds like a good idea, my mom uses it and she never smells bad. You should see a dermatologist to see if you have a endocrine problem, that will cause BO. And shower more often, at the beginning it would take up to 3 showers a day to help neutralize your BO. Use a sponge to shower, too. It will scrub the bacteria away. Good luck!

Body odour is caused by an enzyme created within your body not usually by a bacteria out side of the body. Shower every morning and take a sit bath every evening, if you are heavy-set and have extra folds wash between those folds several times a day. You might be able to find something that might adequately cover up the body odour like a powder I suggest Baby Powder, and definitely change your diet. What we eat and drink comes out of us in perspiration and causes a body odour. A typical example I give of that is get close to an alcoholic sometime and take a good whiff. The alcohol is their body odour. It comes our in their perspiration. There are no over night cures for it, but well attended to and lots of patience while battling it and constant bathing will cut it down until you can change your diet and then your body odour should change too.
Good luck

I never heard of using alcohol, if you have an order that does not go away with normal showers and deodorents maybe see your doctor, it may be a medical condition, which i heard there was such a condition, i suggest keeping the alcohol out of the shower and try a better deoderent, bath soap and cologne.

The point of a shower is to get clean, not set a record time. I shampoo, rinse, condition, bosy wash, rinse all over, shave if needed. I take forever just cuz I love to stand in the warm water- I dont know how people shower in a jiffy, I think they just are really quick at what they do- cant say their the cleanest people, but I guess at least they shower

How often do you take shower - once a decade? What a news for the whole world community!!!!
I'd recommend take showers more frequently, once a day at least. If your body still stnks, try showring twice or three times a day. Do not save water on yourself. And try some nice, good quality and yes, expensive cosmetics. They will get you going!

Bacteria can cause body odor but sometimes it's the food we eat. Toxins coming out thru the skin.
How is your diet? Balanced, healthy, fresh fruit and vegees?
If not, start your new healthy lifestyle with an intestinal cleanse. Herbal cleanses are easy.
Health food stores can recommend one.
It worked for my husband.

Shower at least twice a day using antibacterial soap. Then slather on a good 24hr deodorant under your arms. Pat powder around sweaty areas. That should solve it!

i don't think it will help.
it does kill the bacteria - the good ones and the bad ones.
so if you have body odour, you might get one of those body odour thingy which make you feel refreshed and you will smell good.
personally, i don't think using alcohol and dettol will help much.
but you can use dettol like once a month to make sure you feel clean :)
hope it helps
