I'm not sure anyone can be perfect unless you feel perfect being exactly who you are already. As for being rich, you are only as rich as the next man. While you may gain material wealth how good can it be if your brother/sister are going hungry? Secure is a good goal. Be secure within yourself. Be secure in what you believe. As far as being admired, what good does it do you what someone else thinks of you? Will it change you? Will it make you a better person? You can put your efforts out anyway you wish. I am only offering my opinion which is truly only important to me.

We will never be perfect and our rewards are in heaven, not on earth. Anything you acquire-you can't take with you--someone else will end up with it anyway. You are already admired by the people that love you--the people that God has put in your life to lift you up and encourage you everyday. As for secure---you can only be secure in Christ. Things of the earth will fade away. All we really can depend on is our relationship with the our Lord.
I'm not saying that you can't be blessed beyond measure--because if you have your life in order with Christ--all other things will certainly fall into place. As long as you are in the will of the Father.

In themselves, those things are not wrong; just put God first, and let the other items follow. A word of caution though; striving to be perfect is one thing; but do not expect it of yourself, one can have very unhappy results from that attitude (including suicide and Hell)...

Because they are attempts to increase your worth with external things.
This is an effort that is certain to fail.
