the rule is one pound per person. so we use that rule, and we add an extra 5 or 10 pounds so we can have leftovers...lol...by the way my family is 10 people, plus grandparents/cousins come over...an interesting fact: on thanksgiving i drink gravy right outta regular cup like it's coke or somethin. in new orleans we consider gravy a drink!

Usually I do one Cornish hen per person, meaning two. But this year we're going to have our kids over plus other guests for a total of 7! Ack! I suppose I'll be making 2 full turkeys this year. Thankfully I only pick at a little of the turkey, so that's mostly 6 people, but the leftovers are so useful and then there's making stock and having cooked turkey in the freezer!

I only make one turkey. But other family members usually bring a ham, fried chicken, other meats etc.....

Just one. I would actually rather have prime rib myself. But turkey is traditional and that is what we have. But that big slab of buffalo sounds pretty good too!
