Kerry spoke in clear plain English and said exactly what he meant to say. It was a direct jab at the military. I've seen the speech and nothing he said leading up to that comment included Bush or the White House. I suggest before people defend him, they read or view exactly what he said and in what context. Kerry was a fake when he was in the military. He submitted himself for his Purple Hearts and it's been widely publicized that he didn't deserve them and spent the shortest time of any troops in Vietnam. After, he became an active protester and threw his awards away. To say he supports our troops now is bogus b*ullsh*t. Kerry is out for himself. However, this time, Kerry put his silver foot in his mouth. In fact, his own party wants nothing to do with him now. Most of his speeches leading up to the election have been canceled. That should tell the American public something. The military sure as heck doesn't back him. I love the photo going around about the troops in Iraq and their reply to what Kerry said. Now let's just hope that America listens!!

In Nam that daughter of a movie actor came over to visit the troops. She was anitwar/American and denounced the troops and America and who was standing by her side? Kerry! I can't remember her name but I'll never forget the picture of the two of them and what she was doing there! No- Kerry meant it for the troops, and for Bush!!

Kerry's comments were aimed at the troops in Iraq! (I'm surprised the Democrats still let Kerry out in public any more)
Kerry's comments were wrong. He hasn't really apologized for what he said. His fake little "apology" was that we *thought* he was talking about our troops.
I think it was obvious that he was speaking of our troops.

p.s. why don't we send Kerry to Iraq since he believes that unintelligent people get "stuck" there.

At the Military. Kerry knew exactly what he was saying and to whom it was being directed at. The fact that he is now stepping back and recanting his words shows you that he is a Ball*sless Bast*ard !!

Send John an email and let him know how you feel. I have !!
I am just sad that the State of Massachusetts has elected an idiot like John Kerry to represent them in Congress. Hopefully they get it right this coming election and put him out of work.

Kerry lied. He attacked the troops. His remarks couldn't have been about Bush (who scored higher grades at the same university as Kerry), that was just a pathetic excuse. Kerry is a coward. Rush Limbaugh was right about Kerry, the Senator has no balls.

We're US ARMY and my husband was a civilian employee for the USMC. We're proud americans and were EXTREMELY offended. They, including Kerry, were extremely irresponsible and constantly think that Minorities and Stupid people join the military. Military Soldiers are patriots, God Bless 'em because I don't think I could do it.

Kerry's comments were a gaff on his part, revealing his real feelings about our military and military service in general. He wasn't aiming to be insulting, its just contempt for people he never understood. His service in the military was part of his grooming for political office. The schools he and George Bush attended do that. There is a program designed for raising leaders in politics just like there is a school for grooming military leaders. They are no where near the same.
