some people just cant take a hint so you must be firm and bitchy, that way they will for sure leave you alone.

I have found dealing with many people like this that the only thing you can do is be firm. This will prevent them from wanting to meddle in your business in the future. I tell people "it's not something that I feel I need to be discussing with you." If you beat around the bush or don't respond, the activity you dislike is only going to continue.

Being honest about your feelings is the best policy. It can be said without aggression and being rude..Just say BACK-OFF.

Why worry that you might be rude to them? They are the ones that are being rude. Just say to them " Thank you for your interest, but if I need any help, I'll ask for it."

Unfortunately, there are times that you have to be rude.
Some people have the need to involve themselves in your personal life. Generally because they either have no life of their own or because they would rather fix your problems rather than face their own.
Hope this helps.

Thank them for their concern but tell them you need to handle things on your own. That ought to do the trick.
