Last year, I had 5 different surgeries on my nose from septoplasty, rhinoplasty, sinus surgery, cosmetic work...since then, my nose runs constantly...especially my right side. My plastic surgeon says it is just allergies and sometimes I take Clariton or Allegra D but nothing helps. My nose still runs especially when I talk a lot or eat or yawn. My family doctor won't tell me anything. Doctors around here are quacks. Does anyone know what I can take or do to dry me up? LOL! Thanks.

Do you get other symptoms like sneezing or sore throat along with the runny nose?

It may be a sinus infection if you have those symptoms too. If so, you may need to take antibiotics.

I agree with you on doctors! They don't care about you, they just want to squeeze money out of you.

The surgery may have injured a sinus cavity or infected one but, the infection should have either cleared by now or have gotten worse. Go to an ear, eyes and nose doctor. Tell him about the surgery, this is "iffy" you see sweetheart if you tell him, he may not want to get involved and may not see anything wrong. He doesn't have to treat you.
He can well believe your going to go running back to your first doctor say "Hey you know what so and so says?..........? and start threatening.
Do you understand what I'm saying? You should tell him what was done so he knows where to start. If he's honest and I'm betting he is, he'll let you know what's wrong and treat you. Good Luck.

Your nose really isn't as big as you think it is. But if it's that crucial for you to make it look smaller, you won't be able to do it without make up. You can go to a makeup store like Sephora and ask the people working there, or you can try accentuating your other features, like your eyes lips and hair. Bottom line, accept your appearance, you're a pretty girl, so it shouldn't even be too difficult.

you have to investigate the fluid coming from nose if it's clear because it can be cerebrospinal fluid due to some trauma during the surgery. go to a good lab nearby, collect 2-3 drops of the fluid and ask them to test it for CSF (cerebrospinal fluid). if it is CSF you require urgent management and for this consult a good ENT surgeon
