If a woman is over 35 with no baggage (emotional or otherwise) is she ever likely to be asked out by a guy around the same age? Or do men in their mid to late 30's only date young woman?

I know you don't know me and it does have a lot to do with the person as an individual - their looks (I'm not a fugly), their personality (I'm loads of fun) - but should I start housing stray cats now?

Oh - sorry - I meant not loads of baggage. You're right - we all have it.

It's kinda f'd up, but think of it like this: by the mid 30's, many guys are off the market or too shy/broken-hearted/weird to ever date which is why they are still available. All you can do though is stay positive. There's always someone out there looking, too.

If you THINK that you are too old and men won't ask you out, then they WON'T. Stop worrying about your age. Men will date you but you have to believe in yourself first.

And sorry sweetie, anyone 35, male or female with NO BAGGAGE must have been born in a science lab and never exposed to life. We all have wounds one way or another, those are the things we learn from and there is NOTHING wrong with it!

Heck no on the cat idea. I have a ton of baggage and met my husband at your age. Don't quit just yet.
