My 11 year old granddaughter is in 6th grade. I have been to several of her school functions and have noticed that out of the 100's of girls I have seen only a handful have bangs. Personally, some of them would look better in them including my granddaughter. What's your opinion?

It is the current trend... I am a teacher, and very rarely see bangs of any kind anymore...
You know how it is... fashion comes and goes. Wait a couple of years, and bangs will be back in, just like bell-bottoms, lol

I use to have bangs when I was younger but once I hit about 18 or 19 I let them grow out. My daughter wanted hers grown out because she didnt like them. I think it has become more of a trend to not have them. I am personally happier without them for the simple fact that I would have to curl them under so they were not going in a hundred different directions.

Yes it has been a trend for a good while. Personally I find bangs kind of lame But it depends on who cuts them. There is a way to cut them without looking like a hack job.

i think that it's better to be yourself ? it's better to have your own style.
If everybody follows the trend, how boring it would be! you will see everyone with the same hairstyle in the street.
anyway i think bangs are out of fashion.
but if you think your granddaughter is suitable, you could ask her to try it out.
it's great to have a new look after some time.

This is the trend. My daughter has hair that is all the same length and parted down the middle. When I take her to school I see many girls that wear their hair the same way.

bangs or cute on some people or sometimes it just isn't in right now but if i want something close to a bang without cutting my hair i would put a swoop in the front like in my aviator pic
