yesterday my 2 year old had a fever of 103 so i picked her up from daycare and took her home. she just did not look good so i gave her some fever reducer and it went down. after her nap she was back to her old self, no signs of being sick, she was playful and cheerful. i decided to keep her home from daycare even though she seemed fine, but how come she seemed so sick and within a couple hours she was fine?

some viruses run their course really quickly. Others take longer. It also can depend on their immune systems. My son and daughter can get the same virus and she is over it within a couple of hours and he has it for 2 or 3 days. Don't worry, just consider yourself, and your daughter lucky!

Sometimes it just works that way. Be thankful. Sometimes the medicine takes away the fever while it's working then it comes back when the medicine wears off and that cycle could keep going like that for a day or so.

Well, kids have a tendency to have fevers that spike up for no apparent reason. You just have to watch them to make sure they don't go too high, which is apparently what you have done. She is fine, kids just get colds. I would keep a watch on her for the next couple of days though to see if she spikes again. Way to go Mom.

try to observe her, if fever returns then better see a doctor. better safe than sorry. well if there are climate changes, kids sometimes get warm skin when its hot. or if she is growing new teeth, thats normal to have fever. or sometimes when she just got colds, body sometimes get warm first. meantime give her more juices and water. and as long as body temp s normal, and her she is has appetite to eat and take her milk, then dont worry much, except if fever keeps recurring.

Having a high fever is uncomfortable and makes you feel bad. If you only have a high fever and are not showing any other symptoms, if your fever is reduced or broken you feel better.
