Well...LOVE...Its a sweet yet painful thing some times.
Anyway, don't let age stop you from loving some 1.
love isn't just seeing that some1 and just say that u love some1,
love come from the inside. If you love him and u are afraid that he is too young
just love him as a little brother….u don’t have to date some1 to proof that u love him.
just be there from him whenever he need your and cheer him up when he is down.
Love some1 by showing them you care.

ok if you both really love each other, then i siggest for the next 2 years you both be best friends which will only be beneficial to both of you when the intimacy does begin.Remember it may not seem like he is 16 but the fact is he is.In most states isnt that a crime if you were to sleep with him?Or i hate to suggest it but you can do wht you want and keep it under wraps for 2 years.I would be worried about what his parents might do.Its so funny its all okay if your 28 and he is 21 or any other number once you pass a certain age but not at your ages i know i have had 2 relationships i was 7 yrs older and 1 was 9 but it was ok cause we were all over the age of 21. Sorry but you just gotta hang in there for 2 years it will go by fast, and then actually you will get a chance to see if he is as mature as you think he is.

There is nothing wrong with loving a younger man if you are both older, but you are playing with fire here. You are considered an adult this boy is a not. It doesn't matter how mature mentally or physically he is. If you are that much in "love" as you say you are then I advise waiting a few years before you engage in any serious relationship with this boy; at least until he is over 18, preferable even longer. Neither of you are prepared at your ages for what life can throw at you. What about further education and jobs that will sustain you if you do stay together and have children?

Okay ignore the first answer [roll eyes] anyways, well at first you said you were 18 then you said your 19? This situation sounds familiar, I was talking to this guy in my 3rd period and he goes with a 18 yr old and he's 16. But anyways what makes you so intrested in a 16 yr old ya know? I mean don't have sex with him that's the last thing you want to do, and get pregnant. I can't really say anything but if you guys get along and you love each other what's the problem? But you are grown and he's not so you should think about it from that view...

Age ain't nothing but a number BUT...i would seriously question your whole idea of what 'love' is, from infatuation. He IS 16 after all. Regardless of what one thinks, unless the dude lives on his own, has a damn job, and can literally take care of himself, and present himself as a man then OKAY...he's mature for his age..if he doesn't fall under any of those categories, sorry..he's probably just a gentlemen.
NOW, as far as you going out with the guy...i don't see a problem, as long as you're not having sex until he's 18, or whenever he's LEGAL to have sex with...otherwise you'll go to jail if someone finds out. And as far as making it serious, personally i'd wait....if he'll love you while in college he'll most likely love you for life. The transition from high school seems to be everyone's "find myself" break point, in which HS love ends for the sake of experimenting and finding the 'me' in a lot of people..go figure. And there are some that keep their HS sweethearts until the end.....
As far as what people say...that's irrelevant, EVERYONE talks crap, even if he was older they'd probably have something to say...honestly their opinion doesn't matter, they're not dating you, and they don't own you...nor do they decide your life...if you have a crush or love for a younger dude you ain't the first one...so it's all good.
So my advice be, keep the relationship, it's all good, BUT don't rush it into passionate sex, marriage, and all that. I'd say casually date until he's out of the HS days, and if it still works after his venture into young adulthood, then all is clear, otherwise, getting your emotions tied to tightly now is risking a seriously broken heart if he decides he needs to grow up and 'experience' his new life after high school.
TAKE IT..or leave it...there's my 2 cents.

for a start - lets put this in perspective...its not an EMERGENCY! its just a situation :) And secondly you start by saying you're 18 then you say you're 19??? Which is it? Thirdly...my advice is dont get involved if you want a long term thing and if you want committment that you know he cant give you for a long time (marriage children etc) cos he's younger than you. I dont think the age gap is a problem at all - ten years from now it wont even be an issue!!! BUT for me the issue would be the different lifestages that you're both at right now...do you want committment he can't give you cos he's young? etc. think carefully...its not worth both getting hurt if its just going to end. all the best~!

First of all, happy birthday. Somewhere between the start of your missive and the end you gained a year in age so I guess you had a birthday.

Second, you need to realize that if you have sex with this boy, he is considered a minor under the law whether he consented or not and because of that you can be arrested.

Third, are you really being fair to him or are you just being selfish? He is just starting his dating life and already you are trying to pin him down. What are you afraid of that you aren't looking for males your own age?

If you were both older, it would be okay, but at your ages I think you should take responsibility and end it.

Listen Lin, if you are 18 or 19 and he is only 16, no matter how mature you think he is for his age, he is UNDER-AGE!!!!! Back off. It is not a good idea, stick to the friendship thing.

Whats the emergency? Whats the rush on deciding what to do.
Just continue to see him, and see what lies ahead.
Age shouldnt matter. But he is only 16, less experienced than you I assume at dating. He may want to date around someday. Time will tell. Just keep dating.
Does his parents know he is dating you? Im not worried about your parents as much as his. You are an adult he isnt. Could be trouble. Make sure his parents approve.
