The truth is I haven't yet lost my mom, but my daughter in law lost her mother recently. I can only imagine your grief and I pray you can find peace. I lost my twin daughters to a miscarriage long ago and I also lost my grandmother whom I was very close to. I know the only cure for grief is time. It takes a long time. Grieving cannot be rushed.

Well, I haven't lost my mom but here's some good advice to help you cope.
A Sure Hope for the Dead
Did It Really Happen?

The account of the raising of Lazarus is presented in the Gospel of John as a historical fact. The details are too vivid for it to be a mere allegory. To question its historicity is to question all the miracles of the Bible, including the resurrection of Jesus Christ himself. And to deny the resurrection of Jesus is to deny the Christian faith as a whole.—1 Corinthians 15:13-15.
Can we really believe the resurrection promise? Yes, there is no doubt that Jehovah and his Son are both willing and able to fulfill it. What does this mean for you? You have the prospect of being reunited with dead loved ones right here on earth but under very different conditions! If your heart similarly yearns to see a loved one again, Jehovah's Witnesses will gladly assist you to learn how you can make this sure hope your very own. Why not contact them.

I lost my beautiful Mom last year to terminal melanoma. She lived to be 60 which to me seems so young. It has taken me a year and a half to actually be able to "deal" with it. I miss her so very much! I am sorry for your loss. The saying, "Time Heals," sucks but it is true. There are groups through Yahoo that I joined for a while and they really helped me with my grief. You may want to look into those. It does get better.

Yup, I lost my mom 41/2 yrs ago. But at the time of her death, she was so sick with cancer, she was blessed to have been in a coma. I knew that for her, it would be a blessing to have her pass. I had to look at the quality of her life before she was ill, and at that point. I know she is with me in spirit, and yes, I talk to her all the time. I picture her free and laughing and happy. It is hard, to loose someone. There are bereavement groups out there, to help with the transition and the acceptance of a loved ones passing...Please find one. Your mom is within you. Good Luck....

Yup i did in 2002. it was devastating believe me. It has been almost 4 years, and i just had a good cry yesterday looking at pictures of her. It gets better over time, but i think losing a parent is something we just never get completely over. Try and be patient, time helps ease the hurt some. :) btw,, sorry for your loss , hang in there

I feel your pain. Loosing a precious mother can be devastating. My advice would be to remember the wonderful memories you had with her, know she is at peace with God, and honor her through various things you can do. For example, donate to a special charity in her name, commit to a cause in her name, purchase something the church needs in her name. Just know that she doesn't want you to go through life miserable. Remember the good. The hurt and loneliness of her absence will always remain, but it will soften as time passes.
