We have the facilities to farm fish properly these days - however the fact is that there's such a focus on volume over quality that we pump the poor creatres full of crap..

I'd eat farmed fish yes - i'd perfer to eat proper farmed fish to wild stuff.. Simply cause I feel really bad about the fish depletion.

Hi >
My cousin worked within a salmon farm, and reported to me that the "catch" was totally cr*p.
Wild salmon I like, and especially nicely smoked.
So I agree - no need for farms producing low-grade fish.
Bob.

I avoid farmed salmon for the reasons you mentioned, under new regulations in the U.S. farmed and wild salmon is labeled as such. I only buy wild caught fish.

Try asking a butcher why they dont normally eat sausages? theres one for you. I do eat salmon its lovely but like another person says you wouldnt eat anything if you knew what was in it.
Allow me to explain~~

Beef=mad cow desease
fruit and veg=GM products/pestasides
Eggs/Chicken=battery conditions/salmonella/bleaching
All thats is left is water and then they reckon it is turning all the fish slowly into females from all the women on the contraceptive pill.oh and dont forget the aluminium to make it look clear. mmmmmm What you having for din dins

I eat a lot of rainbow trout ,from fisheries, and it hasn't done me any harm, and I'm sure they are fed the same way. But If I had the choice of fresh river fish and farmed, it would be fresh river fish every time.

No, for precisely the same reasons as you mate. You can't beat wild salmon although I think that it's something that shouldn't be commercially fished for. After all, we don't eat Panda meat do we?

Not if the farmed Salmon is all that filled up. No wonder it makes people sick. Better to stick with all natural foods when we can, like orgainc, humanely raised meat, free range eggs, ect.

Eat it all the time though I do know that some of the practices are a bit dubious. Like some one has said all the food we eat would probably not stand scrutiny.
You should eat fresh caught fish though, like cod, haddock and herrings. They are delicious.

No, I wouldn't.

It should be no suprise to people that most farmed animals are not natural and are full of dodgy stuff, its well publicised.

People just choose to bury thier heads in the sand. If they get cancer in 30 years they will sue anyway, so wheres the harm, its like a pension fund !
