See if the local food kitchen/pantry could use it. Sometimes, newspapers let you place a "free" ad if you are giving something away or are listing it for a price under $250.00. Check into that and list it for free and see what happens. You might want to check and see if other charitable organizations are in your area ( e.g. Rescue Mission) as well. Perhaps if you have a battered women's shelter or homeless shelter, they could use it too.

Call Social Services and see if they have a program for families in need. Also, Habitat for Humanity might be able to find someone who can use it. If not just put an ad in the paper to give it away if they pick it up.

you can try donating it to a community centre, homeless shelter, local foster home, boy and girls club or soup kitchen. Non for profit organizations depend solely on the donations of others and would most likely not turn it away

If you have space to keep it, like in a garage, carport or pantry.
Keep it, use it for soda storage, extra freezer space and so on.
Or find a family who is in need of a refrigerator, through a church or non profit program.
Hope this helps.

Have you tried giving it away on FreeCycle or CraigsList? They are recycling sites where you can get rid of unwanted items and someone may see it and come pick it up!
Good luck and I hope you don't have to junk it!!!
