I can't speak for the current troops, but all the older veterans figured him out a long time ago. His war record is very questionable and his actions after our war(Viet Nam) speak volumes about him.

Our troops will take care of Mr. Kerry with the suitable understand, HONOR and COURTESY due a member of us of a Senate. Their professionalism demands not something a lot less.Too undesirable Mr. Kerry doesn't comprehend the that technique of the words I typed in caps.

I think most have a sense of humor about it - not that I agree it was a joke, until he got called on it - you can see by this picture.
I laughed so hard the first time I saw it on TV. But the troops know that the American people are behind them 110% and that we are outraged for them.
If they were to take the time to get outraged everytime a liberal put his foot in his mouth, they would have no time to fight this war.

What's there to hate?? The troops are sending a message back home. Now, it's up to the American public to listen. What Kerry said was NO "joke". The troops are upset. Nothing was taken out of context. Kerry faked his entire career. Everyone already knows that. He submitted himself for those Purple Hearts, one for splinters in his butt. He might wish those splinters were back in his butt instead of his silver foot.

Of course, the Dems are going to say that the troops really do want to come home. But, that's not what this message is for. This is a direct message to Kerry and all Americans. Now, who's paying attention!?!?

I love that pic and bow down to those troops!!

EDIT: Good for you!! Make sure everyone you know gets that pic....it's the only way our troops can say what they really think. I don't mind links in questions....sometimes, they have info otherwise not known. The link you posted is one of the best there is!!

I'm in the Army and John Kerry is right. If your not smart enough to get a scholarship Uncle Sam'll be right there to pay for it. Yet and still, you wouldn't believe how many people can't even pass the simplistic ASVAB test to get into the service. Tell it how to it is Johnny boy. Just another victim of America's overobsession with PC.

My husband thinks Kerry is a waste of time and effort.

I don't know why everyone is surprised we have always known he felt this way. I think he is still bitter after his experience in Vietnam.

Most people on the left don't think much of the military (or at least so it seems)

It is very correct....

I do not accept his apology, his apology would need to be predicated with retrieving his medals that he threw over the pentagon fence back in nam, and gingerly placing those medals inside his 4th point of contact. (buttocks). then will i consider his heartfelt apology.

he is dried up giggolo clown, but hey, if I were a shallow pompous @$$ I would try to marry money also.

They (the troops) would be compelled to disagree with his statements . . . as his inference was one of 'ignorance' . . . and who would willingly, publicly, brand themselves, and admit to stupidity???
I was very pleased to see the statement made - and feel that it is a true one - in some respects . . . about the most truthful (albeit not diplomatic, or wise) thing said by a politician in a very long time.
