a close person to me had a child at 11 and the baby's daddy was her grandfather as well, I do not know your situation, but I feel sorry for you (not in a bad way) but your life is no longer about you, I have yet to see a positive situation arise from this young of a pregnancy (I work in social services and have for a very long time, I see this many, many times in a day)

Delivered my first daughter 7 days before my 16th birthday. Yes there are a lot of us out there, my oldest daughter is now 29, it wasn't easy, but I would not change any of what happened for the world, she is my best friend as well as my daughter. To all the young mothers and the few fathers that hung around, my hat is off to you. We were all blessed at very young ages and the blessings are still here. Just because you are young doesn't mean that your life is over, just altered. I still finished in the top 10 of my high school class, went on to college, never received welfare and my parents were not well to do. Don't let anyone belittle or look down upon you. Be the best mother you can be because there are mothers in their 20s, 30s, 40s etc., who suck. No being a teenage parent isn't the way to go but if it happens and the decision is made to keep your baby, you are a whole world ahead of many. Again, you are Blessed.

Sweetheart this a a game you do not want to be the winner. I am going to assume you did not have much structure by your mother or father (I doubt you have both parents at home.)
I hope that you have a good family support system and you can stay in school (if not you and your child will suffer). Keep in mind that child's wants and needs are now more important than yours.
You cannot resent this child, because you made your mistakes and now you have to live with the consequences. Never make that child feel like a mistake because that is not the case. Your actions were the mistake. Make sure this child is loved and if you can't do that, please give him or her a chance to find a family that will not consider him or her a burden.
Good Luck in whatever you chose for the baby.

I had my son at 18. I'm not advocating young pregnancy but mine turned out great. I'm certified in lab work and have six credits until I get my degree. I am married. I'm happy and my parent's and/or the government are not supporting me at all. It's pretty much all me. Like I always say--I'm your typical suburban stay at home mother.
While I'm not questioning parenting abilities, I don't know people can do it any younger. It raises many questions when the parent/s are under 16 of: how do you drive to doctor's appointments? How can you afford day care or to stay at home? What role to grandparents play? And the list could go on and on.

According to the Guiness Book of World Records, the youngest verified mother gave birth at age 7. She lived in Iowa. The father of the child was 6, and it was her brother. This happened in 1978.

A baby having a baby? Too bad you lost out on your childhood. Your life is about that child now, not you. It will never be the same. Take good care of that child! First and foremost!
