You should ask the Cheyenne nations, or look in the Dawes register. Below I provided many sites to look at and find this answer.

Also, I suppose if a full blooded Cheyenne were adopted, they could have that name too.

DNA will prove one way or another.

Yes!!! I'm 1/4 Lakota (Oglala) my last name is Irish!
Also Check with the Cheyenne Nation but Records can be a Problem some did not keep Written Records and Other have been lost also most had a Oral history! Rez records can be Tricky if born on the Rez!!!
Also DNA Test may!!!

Casillas is a Spanish surname, needless to say. yet interior the previous many indians took the surname of the kinfolk that they have got been working for. So, it must be that the Casillas grandpa replaced into an entire cheyenne yet with Spanish surname.
