The hot water diminishes the amount of water left in the skin. It is usually more noticeable during the winter months as you generally take an even hotter shower to get warmer. When you do your skin dries out causes dry itchy skin. I have heard it is called "winter itch". Use moisture replenishing skin care products, that contain Little or no alcohol, as the alcohol will only dry the skin further. Also the type of soap you use can dry the skin. Aloe, vitamin E, lanolin and glycerin are good ingredients to look for when purchasing a body lotion or soap. Happy hunting!!!!

After being cold for so long taking a hot showers causes your body to react in a way trying to adjust your body temperature. The itchiness of your skin is the contact of your cold blood to the hot water

Ok so first off it's not the semen that travels to the egg it's the sperm. Semen is what the sperm are in when they come out. The sperm leaves the semen within a few minutes and travels into the womb. Then it travels thru the tubes to where it expects the egg to be. That can take hours or longer depending upon how well the sperm swim and how straight they go. Most sperm are not shaped right and they get lost or swim around in circles or just plain die before they get there. But since there are millions of them this is not usually a problem. Sperm can live up to 5 days, but 2-3 days is more common.

The itch is due to dryness. Try using a soap like Dove. Also when you get out of the shower PAT yourself dry instead of rubbing the towel against your skin. Rubbing agitates the epidermis. Then you want to use a vitamin E based moisturizer while your skin is still lightly damn which will allow it to absorb into the skin better.

The heat & soap have stripped your skin of oils. Try taking a slightly cooler shower and/or using a milder soap. Or moisturize BEFORE you dry off. Yes, before. It soaks into the skin better.
