Besides not saying anything creepy, this has a lot less to do with your actions than you may think. If you are putting of to strong or masculine of pheromones, it will be very hard to comfort anyone, especially women. So, without changing your chemistry to excrete more beta-mones, (which if your end goal is to hook up with her, that is no good as she will see you as a friend only; it's a delicate balance--) the advise I can give is psychologically, wearing soothing and sincere colors, probably something like a shade of blue, dress casually, and if you use the same type of gestures as her that will also put her at ease without her knowing it. Beyond, that, don't be nervous, have confidence. Just like all other animals, people can see fear, except in the same species, it is contagious. Your nervousness will make her uneasy with you. Not knowing you and your situation, I would suspect that by you asking this question, the nervousness is the reason you need to look at the most. Generally girls are very sensetive compared to guys. they listen to their heart more than brain.
when u r with him as a guy never play with her feelings because that is the main important factor which can lead u to defeat or win the battle in friendship or love.
Girls never want the solution, rather they believe to be listened by the friend or lover about her problem. Do everything after getting her consent. Take her into confidence that what ever u think or do is in the interest of her or u always wish the best for her.
Never force her to do anything. Just try to give a long rope to her & she will be entirely yours & comfortable too.

besides making sure you don't call her "gal", i've got a few pointers for you:
1. if you're comfortable, she will be too.
2. avoid going to fancy restaurants all the time. stick to small cozy places that gives you time together
3. do "fun" and unexpected stuff... like going to a video game parlour and teaching her how to play, or taking her pedal-boating on the lake... just be creative!
4. be yourself. this is oh-so-important! just be natural, be funny, and be for real.
5. for God's sake LISTEN! pay attention to what she says. if required, write it down in a diary... you MUST remember what her favorite flowers, colours, food etc. are... cause it'll help you later...
6. respect her friends and family. once you get approval from them, you're girl's yours!

That all depends on the girl. If it was me, I like a guy that can cheer me up and make me smile. Good conversation also helps, ask her about herself and be interested in what she has to say. Her likes and dislikes, this will also help you see, if you even have anything in common at all. favorite movies and so on......most of all just be you, if you're trying to impress by being someone you're not, most girls will see right through that , and it will be get you no where.plus if you have to pretend she's not worth it anyways.
