it depends on the way they want it to be. wen two ppl is able to speak freely doenst mean they agree wif each other.
becoming lover is different for alot of ppl. sometimes it takes likeing something abt each other at the same time respecting n taking interest in others. it depends.
in my opinion, most of the times the two parties will eventually like each other. becoming lovers is something deeper and something wic both the ppl have to commit to.

hey!!it is not necesary that a boy and girl talking freely can bcom lovers.they can b good frnds also.there are another relationships between a boy and agirl rather than lovers.
