Anything done within the marital bed is not sinful In other words as long as the two people are married and it is consensually agreed upon it is ok. As long as no one is being forced. God bless

The two main ways anal sex might be dangerous would be injury and illness/STD risks. Both of these can be minimized and condoms can be part of that plan. Anal sex can be a safe and pleasurable experience if you keep a few things in mind. SFSI's FAQ (see link below) gives lots of details, but the main ideas are communication, lubrication, patience, and protection. Anal tissue is thin and can tear easily. Use lots of lube, take your time, and stop if there is any pain. If you're using a condom, make sure you use water-based lube with a latex condom; if you want to use an oil-based lube, be sure to use a polyurethane condom instead of a latex condom. There are some concerns about feces during anal sex and the transmission of diseases. In general, washing around the anus with warm water and soap is sufficient for getting rid of bacteria. If you or your partner are concerned about poop, some people feel more comfortable having anal sex after having an enema. Keep in mind that there are some bacteria in the anal tract that SHOULD NOT get into the vagina. Using a condom can decrease the chance of transferring bacteria into the vagina after anal sex because you can change to a new condom without having to stop and wash. Condoms can be helpful in preventing the transmission of STDs. The SF City Clinic Risk Chart lists many STDs that can be transmitted during anal sex including gonorrhea, chlamydia, HIV, herpes, and syphilis. If neither partner has an STD, then you are not at risk.

Yes sodomy does include anal and oral copulation. Yes people condemning homosexuals will also be subject to Biblical laws.
Was there a different question in there?

Oral sex is never specifically condemned in the Bible.
But homosexuality is. It's condemned in the Old Testament -- and that condemnation is reaffirmed and repeated in the New.
Granted, lots of things are forbidden in the OT that we don't abide by today -- but that's because the NT teachings on these issues either replace the OT ones, or are silent about them.
Not so with homosexuality, which is emphatically condemned in BOTH the OT and the NT.

Sodomy, in any way that you want to define it, and homosexuals are two totally different things. "Homosexuals" is to be defined as two people of the same sex engaging in intercourse. "Sodomy" is to be defined as anal intercourse, but is not limited to homosexuals. (If you add oral copulation with sodomy, hetrosexual or homosexual, thats your choice, but I don't think its a requirement).
To me, the difference is, whatever a husband and wife do in the privacy of their own bedroom is their own business. Humans are the only creatures that GOD created to have sex for pleasure. However they choose to please each other should be their own private business.

Since sodomy is so wide-ranging, we are confused at to what it covers. I was told in also covered rape with objects (bottles, broom handles, things like that)

We are subject to the law. The law is there to define what sin is. When we find we are living in sin, we need to repent of it and turn from it.
