Flew with Virgin Atlantic economy class last year. Food and drink is free, what you can take on board keeps changing so can't be sure on that, check with BAA online the day before you go, but if you can after last years experience I suggest you take food!

came back from vegas on tuesday with Virgin. No make up is a good idea, they were still taking powdered ones off people even though they say it's ok. Nothing liquid at all and no lighters or matches. It was easier just to take a small bag with a book/mag, my purse, passport. Put my camera and camcorder in the hold luggage. You get free food and drink on the flight. Also a handbag now counts as one piece of handluggage whereas before you could take handbag extra. Security was really really tight, they missed nothing!! Flew from gatwick.

Just to add know they are changing the rules about what you can take on but still beware if you are flying to the US, they are unlikely to relax their rules yet, they are still on the highest security!

Most planes will offer a beverage and snack for free (I hear that is not the case on budget airlines - Virgin will have free drinks) If you want a meal, alcoholic beverage, headphone rental, all those you pay for. Another thing - if a porter helps you with your bags, he expects a dollar a bag tip.

Lipgloss, perfume, mascara, liquid foundation are all liquids. Get yourself a quart size zip-lock bag. Put all liquids under 3 oz in that bag. Keep that bag out of your carry-on when going through security and you will be able to bring it all on board with you.

Solid lipstick, camera, cell phone no problem, baby wipes I think are fine but but not completely positive.

It is recommended that in your carry-on you bring a anything you will need in case your bag gets lost: a change of clothes, toiletries, car keys, medications. All the people saying check everything will be the same people yelling at baggage claim that their medications are all in their lost checked bag and they really need them. It is also recommended that any film goes in your carry-on since baggage x-ray machines can damage it.

You are allowed to carry on a backpack and a carry-on (type that goes in the overhead bin) bag.

I have just got back from Miami and I flew wit virgin. Everything on the plane is free so basically you can get hammered on the plane and fall asleep.
The flight will take you about 8 hours to jfk. Hope that helps you..

Virgin is awesome. Very friendly staff and lovely little freebies. Call the airline re: what you can take on board as these rules change often.

You shouldn't have to pay for drinks or meals. What you can carry on board depends on where you are traveling. Check the Virgin site for hand baggage allowances: http://www.virgin-atlantic.com:80/en/us/passengerinformation/baggage/handbaggage.jsp

The restrictions can change at any time. Call the airlines 1 day before your travel to confirm.

enable's think of. The pilots choose such loads of hours to maintain prepare. those flyovers are seen by way of a lot of human beings stay and extra on television. it is loose advertising for the militia. you would be extra effective to question why the sponsor NASCAR autos, drag racers etc.
