There is only one answer that can actually answer the question this vaguely. It is called the LD50.

This is a research/medical term in regard to the dose of a drug, usually in mg/kg or mcg/kg (milligrams or micrograms per kilogram of body weight) that a person has to take to have, a 50% chance of death from that dose. (based on known research, OD medication, clinical trials in animals, etc,)

Every drug which can potentially be fatal has an LD50. Some are known, some are not, with less harmful medications.

Fatal dose may vary for each drug.
Drug- Heroin. Fatal dose=0.2 gram. Estimated for an adult. May be higher (upto 10 times) in narcotic addicts, and much lower (1/20) in infants.
Please see the webpage for more details on Lethal dose.

It depends on the type of drug among many other variables. For instance, if you overdose on aspirin as an infant, more than likely it will kill you. However, if you do so as an adult your chances of survival are much better. The most potent and toxic drug to the human body is nicotine. Most nicotine cigeratte patches contain roughly 3 milligrams of nicotine, but in large quanities such as 40 or 50 milligrams, it will kill you.

depends on the person and if they've had a drug before. tolerance is a big factor in calculating maximum dosage

It depends...everyone is different.
Some people have allergies...peanuts - yikes can kill them,
aspirin....antibiotics, penicillin....all can kill those who are allergic.

So again, each person is different....and now recently, e-coli on fresh vegetables can kill people......we just don't know...sorry.
