Go to a dentist with a hygienist and they can use an ultrasonic scaler to effectively remove stains and finish with a polish. Some dental surgeries have whats called an Airflow which literally sandblasts stains off- with a fine sand usually lemon flavoured. Its painless, does not harm enamel and leaves teeth looking and feeling amazing.

Go to the dentist every 6 months and invest in a electrical tooth brush. Also, brush for 2 minutes twise a day, I thought it was porky pies till I tried and it works!! My teeth are white from all that.

Go to your dentist, a thorough teeth clean is part of the basic consultation fee with an nhs one.

It did wonders for my husband (he had brown stains that looked like he'd got chocolate on his teeth), not as good for me as my teeth aren't as naturally white (and they didn't look as bad in the first place).

Stop smoking and the stains will gradually go down. Or use a toothpaste called Supersmile Whitening Toothpaste.

Visit a Dental Nurse or Assistant who will polish your teeth
with the proper substances and equipment. It is painless
and much cheaper than a Dentist. If, by chance, he finds
any dental work that needs attention, he will recommend
you to visit one, and not attempt to do it himself.

regular maint. appointments with your dental professional for a cleaning.

I use the Sonicare toothbrush and it really works good for me (Huge coffee drinker) BUT if you continue to smoke you are going to get stains no matter what.

Lemons are acidic and will eat away the enamel so I wouldn't recommend that.

You can get a smokers toothpaste and you can try baking soda it is cheap and that is what they put in most of them tooyhpastes anyway.
Failing that you can go to your chemist ( if you are in the uk try boots) and you can get some tooth bleach.

By brushing them with specialist toothpaste that you can find in nearly every supermarket - just look in the correct aisle and you'll find something suitable.
