The Ambassador to the UK is generally considered to be the plum assignment. The worst ones are to places that involve unfriendly locals shooting at American ambassadors.

Barbados - it's nice and warm there and not much work as nobody in Washington, DC pays any attention to them.

I don't know which one I would chose, but it would be a small one with few problems and nice beautiful beaches.
