theres no problem at all. Why should a soft boiled egg be any harm. I know you're thinking of the uncooked scare stories but believe me, from age 3years i was having soft boiled eggs and even now i'm 34weeks pregnant i still do. They say its wrong but it does not cause any long term health problems at all. Just m,ake sure the white is cooked properly.

Yes.

Contracting salmonella from store bought eggs is very rare. My mother often made us soft boiled eggs as a Saturday morning treat.

Nearly every case of salmonella has come from commercially prepared food products. They buy different quality eggs than what's offered to consumers.

Eggs are a staple on the Kimkins diet! People go crazy for the Ziploc Omelette recipe on the blog -- too fun!

A soft boiled egg is actually easier to digest than a hard-boiled one. One of my sons could not tolerate a hard boiled egg when he was younger - he threw up each and every time he had one and not because he was forced to eat them - he ate them happily. It was simply because they were too difficult for him to digest. The yolk of the egg is mostly fat and when it is set it is very slow to break down in the stomach.

All the rubbish written about eggs being sources of bacteria and viruses is basically scaremongering. Eggs can get contaminated - yes. It is rare for it to happen though. You are much more likely to get salmonella from badly cooked or stored chicken meat than from eggs.

As long as its been bought from a supermarket and stored properly, then its fine; all hens have to be tested now after the last salmonella scare.
Most of us carry salmonella in our digestive systems, so what Edwina Currie was doing going off on one I have no idea.

Why would it not be fine? I'm perplexed! You talk of soft boiled egg as if it were some sort of gastronomic time-bomb...

it is not too healthy, because most eggs contains bacteria or viruses if not well boiled for those bacteria to die can cause a side effect. half boiled is better than raw eggs anyway
