and all others of different faiths, to show what their beliefs are all about? To show the love, peace and compassion that is at the core of all paths to God?

The Amish sure gave a powerful testimony a month ago as to what a Christian is all about!

Shouldn't religious people be glad of the opportunity to share their faith?

You would think so but it doesn't seem to work like that on here.

When i first started using this about 6 weeks ago i did get some reasonable answers to questions. All that seems to happen now though is abuse so i just answer questions. I suppose it depends on who"s on at the time.

Alot of religious people just seem to want to condemn others though. Little wonder alot of people don't want anything to do with religion or its followers.

As an agnostic I find that atheists are just "angry agnostics." Which is really just a running joke because I used to be an atheist. No one knows whether there is a god or not and even if there is some sort of entity which could be described as a "god" ...... well, then so what? How would it matter on any level whatsoever that there is or isn't? It wouldn't. So live your life as a person that protects all living things, believes in yourself and is always honest.......you mus'nt believe in something to "get somewhere" in the sky. As a direct answer to your question: Because christians are brainwashed and those of us that were unable to continue to be brainwashed have obviously figured this out and it would be pointless to try and "bring us back." Whether you believe this or not, if you search really really hard on Directives For Religion & Cults within the bylaws of the American government you'll find ALL forms of religious beliefs are deemed "inculcate" ... which is just another word for: brainwash. be well.

I`ll say it is,there are only two reasons that Atheist`s and Agnostics do this, first to debunk those who have faith, second, because they are hurting way deep inside for one reason or another, and the best defense to them is often offence.
having said that,as a Christian I never get worked up about the first category, and wont allow them to light the blue touch paper.
those in the second category can be helped by a little understanding and by the love of Christ, this is the challenge today when so many are feeling lost, and pride will not allow them to humdly seek the truth of their lives.

To a certain point yes, But not in all cases, When I read a question, I see if they are trying to pull a trick on us, or if their question is worded in a certain way that they will try to trick us, & I have noticed many times when I have answer one, They go back to their question & after we gave an answer, they then add more information to their original question, making it look as if we knew the added question or statement was already there. No one should ask a question & wait to see who respond, & then go back & add more onto their questions. The spirit of satan is slick,

It is our holy mandate to bring the gospel to the masses. It is our mandate to bring the truth in love, and to have grace when we do so.
For the Christians that are witnessing to the lost, please be mindful of their feelings.Use grace when you bring the message to them.Don't scare them away or make them mad. There are going to be ones out there that just don't want to hear it.They are stuck in their ways, and that's that. That's why you must have grace.
Remember to put on the armor of God,which is the word of God.Prepare yourself to witness in the right way.Make sure to address the point of Christians being human beings too.Make sure to let them know you are not perfect and have the same temptations and failures just like the next person.Have grace when witnessing.
Peace be unto you.

you would think so....but for some odd reason, people dont look at that way....and i hate to point fingers but christains think becasue the wiccan and shamanism are thought to be evil, thanks to hollywood...in the contary, wiccanism was here long before the church took over, it was then called pagaism...in the 10th century the church decided to try and recruit the pagans to be christans...(see history channel)...the only thing pagens worshiped was the mother earth and the father sky, and they belived it was all peaceful, but the christans, thought oh nooooo they are evil and wanted to convert the pagans into god fearing christans same with the native americans...so i hope this answears this question

Sure. I do it every day. I also answer all the silly cheap shots people take at us too. It is actually sort of a mini ministry for me. You have become some of the strength of my faith. I sincerely thank you for that.
May GOD richly bless you.

Very true

But in the same vein, as an atheist i love having my views challenged by a theist as I also have the opportunity to give my side of the story.

It's absolutely thrilling to have an open, intelligent debate with a christian.

It happens SO rarely tho. They usually take it personally.
