Buddhism and philosophy are very similar. For some people their religion gives them their philosophy of life.

A great saint and spiritual master from India has said that "Religion without philosophy is sentimentalism or sometimes worse fanatisism, and philosophy without religion is dry speculation."
So, philosophy and religion are interrelated. Devotion to God gives birth to proper knowledge and understanding.

Some people replace religion in their lives by philosphy,i personally don't agree of that,but both -i think -do help us humans find a meaning for life and a goal to pursue..something to believe in.
