It might be Korean. Spoke with accents.
"얼래? 왜 그려?"
"What the...? what's the matter?"
"What in the world? what's that about?"

Usually in kind of playful situation.

The "gray" was probably "geu rae"...it sounds similar when spoken quickly.
There's no "fay" but "Wae geu rae" means something like "what is it?"
