I believe that it is important that you are able to talk to someone on an intellectual level but this doesn't necessary have to be your partner. Sometimes opposites do attract. My partner believes that i am a person who is intelligent, educated and understand a lot more then him. He never took any exams at school but he knows lot of practical things such as what kids enjoy, fixing things etc.
I believe as a couple we give the best of both worlds to the kids and that is more important as we can always get the other things from our friends family etc.

Intelligence is over rated. Someone with a warm heart, loyalty and a loving nature is far more valuable.
The question is one I would of asked when I was dating though so I have been there and worried about that.

Super important because I once dated a guy that was not very intelligent and he could not even argue intelligently. It drove me mad!

No, I'm not interested in someone's intelligence, I go for their actions. I'm more prone to stay away from intelligent people, they get on my nerves thinking they know everything.

i like to guy to be more intellectual than i am or just about it makes me like them even more. and especially when they try something really cleaver to get me to go on a date with them
