If you have met a women and only after a few weeks she says the "L" word. What is the propper response? I have had this happen a couple of time, and I never say it back until I do. This always produces a negative response. What are they wanting as a response?

If you aren't comfortable with it then turn your response into something humorous. Say something like, "Yeah, I love me too". I can't say there is any particular "proper" response, because some people do fall in love very quickly, while others don't. If humor doesn't work, simply let her know that you don't know her well enough to feel that way towards her. Unfortunately, there will be negative responses, but it's better than getting stuck in a situation you really don't want to be in. Most of the time we want a guy to care as much about us as we do about him, and a lot of women don't realize that a guy is showing us he cares when he's honest and doesn't say "I love you" just because he feels like he should.

most women do want you to say the "L" word as soon as possible! i think its stupid though u tell her that she is beautiful or whatever but save that till you really mean it if she dont like it move on you have to be happy in a relationship too not because someone wanted you to say a stupid word to them and they get all pissy if you dont! good luck

That's nothing. After a few DAYS my BF said the "L" word to me.
Needless to say I don't feel the same way.

They want instant reassurance that of course, they're beautiful, wonderful, intelligent creatures.
Which you could tell them. But save love until later, and explain why to them. If the relationship is meant to work out, they'll be okay with that.

Naturally, they want you to respond the same way. I admire the fact that you dont say it unless /until you really mean it, nor should you. Tell them how you really feel when they tell you they love you...even if its..."I like spending time with you" My motto is to ALWAYS KEEP IT REAL

They want you to tell them that you love them back. :-) How would you feel if you tell a person that you love her and you don't get any response?

People over use that word. Whenever that have any sort of feelings they automatically say love.I guess it is easier than saying"i really like you"?
