I'm afraid a lot of people just want to answer silly questions with a single word answer (yes or no) - They get their buz from getting loads of points not from helping people! Sorry rant over!!

Who is the judge of which questions are genuine?

Who says we have to be constructive?

We are not paid to answer anyone's question - we do so on whim. How we feel that day - serious, annoyed, obstreperous, ornery, happy, bitchy etc etc will naturally have a bearing on the answers.

As the showman said - you pays your money you takes your chances. In this case you haven't even paid money so we, the answerers owe you exactly nothing.

If someone takes the time to give you a serious answer - you are in luck. If they give you a flippant or abusive one - move on. How much notice you take of any answer is entirely up to you.

Why do people get upset? Well that's life - sometimes people get upset. This is a public forum - let 'em - in the long run, better here than smacking or abusing someone on the street or at home. As my kids would say - build a bridge and get over it.

There are no stupid question, unless you know you are asking one.

Answers range from very stupid to very intelligent, regardless of the question.

Yahoo Answers is, in the final analysis, just a game. It can be educational, it can be entertaining, it can be a major waste of time, it can be both helpful or hurtful. Most of all, it should be fun.

If you have real questions or real problems it can be a source of information, but it should not be your only source.

Because different people use YA for different things. Some use it because they genuinely want to know stuff or to help others and some use it to stave off boredom. Some just make comments to get the two points.

You just carry on using it for whatever it is you get out of it. Like me.

narrow minded views, lack of maturity, inablility to think outside the box, prudes, they live in ivory towers, they have no lives, they are religious zelots, totally intolerant of new concepts or ideas, they just don't like you, they've dated you in past and are paying you back, or a government conspiracy, take your choice.
