Anything lighter than your current color will catch his attention... Something about long blonde hair that gets us every time...

I think that you should see what kind of face you have, your skin tone, your hair texture and colour before asking for help. Just keep in mind that the longer the face is the shorter your layers around the face should be as long layers will only emphasize the length of the face, for a soft look have wispy layers around the face. Straight hair is generally an all time favourite for manageability sleek it out with some extra shine or have it tightly upstyled with some light short spikes for a more trendy look which does not age you or give that excess sophistication. Remember that whatever style you choose it has to be comfortable and easy to maintain... the more confident you feel in your style the better off you ll look. A full colour will give you a very drastic change which might not be easy to get comfortable with... why not just opt for multitone highlights which increases the light captured by the hair while still retaining the natural feel of your colour?

The best advise I can give is don't color the whole head at once in one big block color.
Instead opt for high or low lights in the color you are considering.
High or low lights create the illusion of the color you want, but because there is still a lot of you're natural hair in between it also creates a subtle natural effect.
When you color the whole head, unless you have it done professionally, the color looks flat, artificial and dead.
I would recommend that you go to a hairstylist and have her done foils for you, but if you want to do it at home; get a highlighting cap from you're local Health and Beauty store (Sally's if you're in USA, Pharmacies, not Boots if you're in the UK)Pull thin strands if you want the color to look natural or thick strands if you want a dramatic look, through the cap. Next get a box of the color you like, but only mix up 1/3 of the mixture on a old bowl or plate, and using the gloves provided rub it evenly over the hair you have pulled through the cap. After 20 Min's to develop rinse the hair sticking out of the cap, and then pull of the cap and rinse you're whole head properly.
This will leave you're hair looking stylish and well maintained, as well as natural.
Good luck, and hope you enjoy the new look.

u should do it for urself not to impress others. u need to impress urself.

when coloring take your skin tone into account. if u r very very light skinned, don't go black (u will look scary) and if u have a very dark tone, don't go blond. instead of coloring, how about highlights, if u r a brunette, maybe u can put a subtle red/burgandy highlight. or color it a darker shade of brown.

maybe instead of coloring it u can try a new style. maybe curly or straight.

Go for RED. I changed my blonde hair to a reddish blonde and cut it short and WOW! did I get atention! It was like ll the guys in the office were after me. I had also lost a little weight and got a bra that made my breast look a bit bigger too. When my boyfriend saw me he went wild *laugh* and we had a wild night!! (3 times if you know what I mean)

if you want to impress a lad and have him truely know and care about the real you, not a fake or pretentious you, then change nothing, men want honesty from a lassie.

you shouldn't have to dye your hair to impress someone.let him see you as you really are.if he can't except you for yourself you don't need him.he will eventually see the roots growing out the real color so why change it? if anything just put in some highlights or frost it.do a little framework.good luck. pete

umm welll, epends. r u goth? if so then black would work 4 u. if u just want 2 show a little difference then just go maybe a shade darker or lighter then what your hair is now. or you ca be alike with the season colors. for fall, go for a red or brown or something.
