If a "good cop" allows a "bad cop" to operate, is he really a good cop? And on that premise, are there really any good cops left?

Rotten apples are everywhere mate. But i know for sure that the US has the best police corps in the world, be proud of that. A good cop isn't a good cop if he allows mal practices from partners. Internal affairs would kick both asses and the so-called good cop would be sanctioned too...

Quite frankly, your premise sucks! Think it through, if you're able. First of all, good cops don't allow bad cops to "operate". Secondly, most cops ARE good cops. They are honest hard working citizens who have a tough job dealing with dirt on a daily basis. By dirt, I mean those who victimize others, spread hate and discontent, fail to accept their responsibility to be law abiding citizens and visitors in this country. Get you head out and look around you, If its not to your liking here, go elsewhere!

Seems that this "matter of integrity" issue is pretty common these days. I would say that the "good cop", if he is good (?) wouldn't want his conscience to be stricken with the fact that he's allowing a "bad cop" to continue. It's all about how honorable he is personally, and If he can live with himself, knowing he's compromising his beliefs.

Yes, there are plenty good cops out there. They will report misconduct to Internal Affairs.

Sad thing is, the boys gang up on victims. They cover, and hide for each other.

Why is it that the law applies to everyone else but them? Because if Internal Affairs confirms a grievance, the chief gets a headache and the mayor of the town has to deal with a lawsuit.

What you do is, still file your grievance, and send a copy to legislators, and the mayor. At least you have your incident documented in the right circles.

So you hear from trolls: "But, duh, who you gonna call next time you in dangea?" The cops, of course! We are already paying for that service. BUt keep your eyes open, and your pen ready to sign a grievance.

You ask this from an interesting point. There ARE a few good cops left....unless we arrested you!

No, he's just as bad as the other cop.
