that is what you think? well we have different religions because all of us think that way. If we would have thought alike there would have been no religion at all. People to make their point in a different term, coin out a new religion and then people follow them.. and this continues forever.. The only true religion that existed at the birth of mankind and even today and even after all religions would cease to exist is the religion of Humanity....

Because Man has been inventing religions for thousands of years : sun worship, moon worship, ocean worship, star worship, Egyptian religion, Inca religion, Aztec religion, Maya religion, Native American religion, Greek religion, Roman religion, Aboriginal religion, African tribal religions, mono theistic religions, Maori religion etc etc. the current crop of religions are just more in the long list of man made religions that have come and gone over the millenia. The religion of one age will become the literary entertainment of the next. Even the once mighty god Ra is now nothing but a crossword filler.

Sociologically speaking, all the cultures affect the same religion differently (not to mention the different religions). For example, Islam in Mongolia is pretty mixed up with the local habits, while in Saudi Arabia it is completely different.

People were around for thousands of years and it's only been in the past couple thousand that there's been any work towards spreading religions. Different beliefs came from every area.

The main reason for that is That the god of this system of things[satan]is blinding the minds of the unbelievers, so that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ might not shine through. so having a lot of religions helps satan to create much Confusion and incite people to go against the true God!

The thoughts of people are different. And Satan made the people think differently and make them to go elsewhere without coming to true God. So they create different stories and form different religions. But the God is the same one and only God JesusChrist.

there are different societies who have different belief systems than others because what works for a hunter gatherer group may not work for an agricultural group. there are various climates, growing seasons, customs etc of each group which requires different explanations of their creation and why things are done the way they are.
