1024 x 1024 would mean that it would be a perfectly square screen. There's no such thing available to consumers.

You will, however, find plenty of screens that are 1024 x 768 (the "XGA" standard for computer monitors) or 1024 x 720 (standard resolution for "720p/1080i" HDTV's) . You'll also find televisions that are 1920 x 1080 (the resolution for 1080p HDTV's), and those will obviously display a 1024 x 1024 image without difficulty.

thomson models 37pb22os4 (a 37" plasma) has this resolution as does its big brother the 42pb22os4u (a 42" plasma). as do sony's ke-42ts2e and kde-p37sx1. sky's spdp4202. samsungs ps-42p4a. philips 42pf9967d and 42pf7520d. mirror medias mm42p. leowe spheros 42hd . leowe xelos a42. hitachi 42pd7500/42pd7200/42pd6600/42pd5300/42pd5200. fujitsu p42hts40gs/p42hta51es/p42hha40. all the above name sets are plasma and operate on the 1024x1024 resolution set..................further to answer below-1024 x 1024 has nothing to do with the size or shape of the panel. it is an indication of the linecount of information contained within the display panel-i;e 1024 x 1024 equals 1 million and five hundred and twenty six pixels contained within the display panel-all of the sets above are widescreen-please feel free to check them out yourself.
