Is it a Vauxhall or Saab? if so its likely to be one of the drop bushes on the anti roll bar, and when you go round a corner the roll bar will rub on the drive shafts. Check by turning the wheel full lock and look from the inside front of the turned out wheel, and see if there is any rubbing on the drive shaft (the steel bar from the centre of the wheel) if so you should see the end of the anti roll bar sitting just above it in free space and that's the problem. even if you have a different car its worth the 2 Min's it will take to look. Check both sides.

Have your brakes checked immediately, when cornering, you are loading the inside pad on one side or the other. that will give you a grinding sound on corners. It may also be a little rust buildup on the rotors surface edge. There's a chance it could be a wheel bearing, but usually that will make some kind of noise all the time. A cv axle shaft will give you a clicking noise on a corner, so I don't think it is that. I would first go for the brake check.

If the sound (of metel grinding) can only be heard when the vehicle is in motion, it is very possible that either the brakes, wheel bearing or constant velosity (CV) joint could be the cause.

How long has it been since the brake bads/shoes were replaced? Places like Midas Muffler offer a free brake inspection. At least you will know the status of your brake system with little inconvienence and they should tell you if either of the other issues are the cause. Midas can repair all three causes. Hope this helps. CSG

This could very well be your CV joints. When you corner, the car shifts slightly to the side and the joints may be tearing away. Also check your shocks. Driving in this country with all the bumps can ruin them EASILY!

Get the brakes checked for trapped debris rubbing on discs before any further expensive stuff.

Sounds like your wheel bearing has gone. Take it to a garage and have it looked at.

Could be that your rotors need to be re-ground or your wheel bearing. Take it to a mech. to have it checked out. Good luck.
