If you look at the blood-drenched history of a religion like Christianity, what is one supposed to think? Do you mean I cannot judge Christianity, when the Bible condones slavery in several passages? There are hundreds of scientific inaccuracies and contradictions in the Bible. Should I respect a book that says the Sun revolves around the Earth?

It goes without saying that we are far to judgemental. Our near sightedness (looking only at what concerns ourselves) is at the heart of the problem. If we would truly learn to love one another and look toward the well being of others, instead of only ourselves, much of the animosity between people groups would disappear. In the link you provided, the man is experiencing negativity based on foolishness. Just because he is Muslim, does not make him a terrorist or a wife beater. In the same way, just because the U.S. is considered a Christian country, does not mean that all of its people are practicing Christians or are obedient to the truth contained in the Bible. Both Muslim and Christians alike have a moral code outlined in their holy books, and it is highly likely that someone from either group that is obedient will treat people well and try to live a "good" life. As a Christian, one of my greatest struggles is loving people as they are, looking out for their best interests, surrendering my rights regardless of how I am treated, giving up all of me - to serve you. Jesus set the example, and commanded that we as Christians are to love unconditionally, even if you believe differently. Unfortunately this is rarely practiced. If we were loving like this we would not be judging. Consider that each group is acting according to what they believe. The Muslim group is led by conviction at least as strongly if not more so than the average Christian. We can not fault them for standing up for what they believe. They have been endoctrinated, propagandized, and shown only how much we hate them. Why don't we love them as infinitely precious people as God sees them, and show them that the Christ that died for us, died also for them. In their mind they are just as right as we are. However, if we are right we would not want any to perish, but would want everyone to know Jesus as Lord and Saviour. Friends, if someone accuses us of being a Christian, would there be enough evidence to convict us?

Yes, I believe we can be too quick to judge others when religion is involved. I believe we can be too quick to judge others in general. I believe it is better to find out the facts before coming to erroneous conclusions and running off at the mouth.

Yes,,,,, we are so concerned with how others live and their belief systems that
we don't take the time to really understand and gain the knowledge to why and how these religions begin.

There's a difference between judging, and stating facts. I often do the latter.

Human nature leads mankind into judging others.. We should not judge, it's not what we're here for.
By the measure we judge we will be judged....
