That is just him trying to give you a guilt trip and you are right......extremely pathetic. Don't forget my favorite one..."Nice guys always finish last" I've heard that one too many times to count!

Oh very pathetic indeed!!!! Not only is he using that to console his hurt ego but also to use as a ''blame weapon'' on a girl. Guys that do this need some growing up to do, don't you think?

depends on the guy, if a guy is seeing that you're not being treated as you deserve then no, but if he only says that cuz he believes that no girl can say no to him, or that he's too good to be regected then yesss he is extremely pathetic!!
