Does anyone know of any nice hotels for a couple of nights in Oxford? Would consider most budgets. Any websites?
Thanks.

I stayed in a really nice B&B not far from the centre of Oxford in September. It was called the Beaumont guesthouse and cost about £70 a night. The breakfasts were lovely!! As were the owners.

I stayed in a brand new guest house/hotel in Summertown called the Remont Guest House - www.remont-guesthouse.co.uk which is about 10 min bus ride from the center of the city. It's on Banbury Rd and has buses running every 5 -10 min. The area around it is pretty nice too and there was a great wine bar not too far away.

They have free internet access in every room and all the furnishings are brand new and hip. The breakfast was great - buffet style but great quality and the owners even have someone make homemade breads for them. Best of all, they have the best shower that I've ever had in a mid-priced hotel...nice.

The Randolph Hotel is the Best one - it has a Great Dining Room and the Morse Bar where Inspector Morse spent his working hours.
It is located right opposite the Ashmolean Museum. I had Lamb Shank - best I have ever eaten.

Try the MacDonald's chain hotel in Oxford - I can't remember its name, but its right in the centre, but it has parking at the back. It was very good.
