Why, when we yawn sometimes do we get that little squirt of water from under our tongue?

Yep, sure have. That's your saliva gland at work. Usually happes when you pop in some food in your mouth.

When I was younger we used to call that "gleeking". I think its some sort of pressure build up under the tounge and then when you move the tounge a certain way it just fires out saliva. Don't quote me on it, Its just an educated guess.

You have got a saliva gland under your tongue and on the inside of your cheeks.

haha it makes me chuckle when that happens...it goes so far!! i don't know why it happens...but embrace it!!! its one of the perks!
