I just needed to know someone is on here this time of night i guess...I have ADD/bipolar and have had a bad time the past few weeks anyone understand what we got through at times? It is way too hard to explain but, its just nice to once in awhile see if i can get a friendly word from an understanding person when im troubled?

Been in your shoes many a time....waking in the night horrendous nightmares, insomnia just not knowing what to do.
I really empathize.

It's hard when your mind seems to be going nowhere in particular just having random rotten thoughts and you wonder how long can it go on this time?

It is hard for people to understand this kind of illness unless they've been through it themselves. It's like you've entered a room that most people have never seen before and never will and you try to describe it to them...they get the picture...but they don't actually FEEL and THINK it.

Be kind to yourself to try to balance things up a bit. Treat yourself to comforts that you need at this time.

People used to say to me...'you'll get there' or it'll pass, but it's while it's happening....what doyou do then?

Do you journal your thoughts? I do. I write down very quickly all the things that pop into my head in the order that they come, just scribble them down as fast as you can. Make sure you write EVERYTHING that comes to you. Then when you think you've finished, read aback through what you have written and you'll find that the things that are getting to you the most are near the begining....try to resolve some of these. If you're like me, the page may be full of dunnos!

Give yourself some rest today and don't forget to treat yourself in some way - even if it's a relaxing massage from someone you trust.

Best wishes.

I suffer from major depression and aniety with anger issues. I'm on a boat load of medication for it too. As a result, I have some very bizarre and vivid dreams/nightmares. Whenever I have a nightmare or a bad dream and I wake up I stay up for an hour or two, then go back to sleep. During that one to two hour period I usually watch TV (comedies), or I might work on my computer or even read. Basically, I do anything I can to derail my thoughts from my bad dream or nightmare or avoid anything that might trigger another one when I go back to sleep.

Well I'm up, but at work early. I technically haven't been diagnosed with ADD and do not suffer from bipolar, but my Doctor told me I have almost a type of adult ADD, where I don't fully concentrate on one thing and finish it, but jump from one project to another and never feel I've accomplished anything. This true at work and home. I tend to wake up at night thinking of things I need to do. I've gotten up and put a load of clothes in the washing machine or drier at 2 am! I don't know why, but I get up and do things like that. As far as nightmares, try not to eat right before going to bed, especially spicy foods. Start relaxing about 30 min - 45 min prior to going to bed, for example, listening to soft music such as jazz, reading an inspirational book, sipping on chamomile tea. DO NOT look at T.V. Your brain continues "processing" at least up to an hour after watching. Something do to the different images you see (I can't remember how my doc explained it), but I do know not to watch television before going to bed.

Paragraphs guy. I appreciate cuzz im 16 and writing one. But most effective ONE. Don't attempt to get 3 performed directly, specifically if its a prequel to a prequel of a seperate sequence. That could be approach too elaborate. You will have to make the prequel to a prequel the primary publication, then the prequel the moment then get to the tale. Otherwise, there will likely be a 2 publication hole and humans might put out of your mind and must reread the primary publication, and that's demanding as sin. Just my opinion, regardless that.

If I could give you a big hug I would. Dear me, yes I understand the depths of suffering a person can go through and my heart goes out to you...you are truly not alone my dear. Be kind to yourself today and buggers to anyone who is not kind to you today.

I too have suffered from terrible nightmares. Learn to understand your dream symbols to better understand yourself. start a dream diary and you'll better see the pattern.
