dark-mush - why was your 2 year old daughter driving a car?

In relation to the question, how young is a young person and how and what was the damage done?

If that young person is a minor, then yes the parent is responsible for damages in any given situation whether it be a broken window on the neighbor's house or a damaged car.

Depend on the age of the young person. But a parent does have a duty of familiarity over a child/young person. So, but for the raising of the child by the parent, the young person would not have done a wrong.

(course this is just a guess, but hey!)

It depends on the age of the young person and what efforts the parent took to control him/her. The court would here all the facts and background and then decide

Good question!

I had some nasty women try to take my 2 year old daughter to court for supposedly scratching her nice shiny 4x4 becuase she was taking up 2 car parking spaces

Even though the paint on her car was different colour to mine and her "witness" was her best friend

She lost in the end but it was stressful, but i do believe you are ultimatley responsible.
