H. pylori is a very strong bacterium. It is linked to duodenal and stomach ulcers not to mention kinds of stomach cancers. This is related to their ability to cause irritations and tissue invasion. Amoxicillin is a wide-spectrum antibiotic. The problem with amoxicillin is that it eradicates many kinds of bacteria in the intestine which will activate a common kind of penicillin resistant bacteria which causes a very deadly disease, Clostridium difficile to cause damage. That's why you also have metronidazole which kills this Clostridium. Omeprazole and Bismuth subcitrate treat the ulcers which the H. pylori may have caused.
Therapeutic interventions for you:
1. Metronidazole: take with food, avoid alcohol, and it tastes like metal and your urine will be dark brown so don't worry about this
2. Omeprazole: best without food
3. Bismuth subcitrate: take it at bedtime best, don't smoke, if there's blood in your stool:call the doctor
4. Amoxicillin: may cause diarrhea, check if you are allergic to penicillin.

This regimen is well beyond modified! The Bismuth and Omeprazole will close any ulcers while the Metronidazole and Amoxicillin will kill the H. pylori. Remember to keep positive. The attitude of a positive mind will not only help you emotionally but allow your body to fight the disease head on. Just remember, to every dark cloud there must be a silver lining, you need just to find it.

Immunoglobulin G denotes seroconversion from IgM, possible immunity or a long standing infection. IgM is the first antibody class formed in an infection. An active infection would show a high IgM antibody. Your physician is being cautious, but the results do not confirm a diagnosis of active infection.
