Its what needs to be down to secure Iraq, but it wont happen because the American people as a whole don't want to be in Iraq. Americans see Iraq as another Vietnam, but Iraq can't be won unless we see the middle east as we once saw the wild west.

Wow do I see some ignorant answers out here!

The president doesnt just decide ths on his own.,..

The war is run by the commanders, they get info from the folks below them IN the field..

If they say we need more guyys then SEND MORE GUYS

My husband, a college grad with a stable job and family who is 41 is going into Basic training Just before his 42nd b day..

He is not for the war, and think we should get out.. he does not need the military to make a living,, but he wants to take a stand and feels
he has something to offer... and we as his family will support that.. even though I can alsmot guarentee he will end up in Iraq, and may not come back.

SO more troops... YUP.. this is a volunteer army.. Dont join if you are not willing to go.

I think the logistics of this war are best left to those fighting it..... not arm chair quarterbacks.

Good Luck

It won't make any difference on the outcome. It must be sinking in that we have no good options and this is a lost war. More troops will stabilize the situation temporarily. Just one aspect alone, that we are fighting some of Sadr's militia and Sadr's sect make up part of the government is troubling enough. This war/invasion/occupation is truely moving sideways into civil war.

Its another flawed idea from a clueless administration. This war was bogus from the get go. Based on false information. So now we send more money and troops to make the war a legitmate war? I dont think so.

honestly a majority of the Democrats have also stated that although they don't believe we should have gone there, that now we have to win and they would send more troops in.Only a few Democrats that are actually running for election are the pull out the troops now variety If we are going to fight a war then we should use all the power we have and destroy the enemy. If we are not willing to do that then we should not fight the war. I personally believe that we should have gone in, but once there we made alot of mistakes, and did not finish the job. If we pull out now the Islamic Militants will be encouraged, will believe they won, and will keep hitting us. Their stated goal is the destruction of America, Israel, and all of Christianity. If you believe that by letting them alone they will leave us alone, then your head is in the sand. And just to note I am not a Republican

I think we should leave the war to the commanders on the ground who are experienced in the art of war. If they say they need more troops then we should provide them. Further warfare should not be restricted. If you are going to fight a war then fight to win. All wars are political by nature, but when the politicians are in charge, rather than the Generals it never goes well.

Well I think its not the greatest idea but here is some food for thought everyone in the military right now signed up knowing they would deploy at one time or another. People who are on this we are doing nothing but dieing BS need to get over their self. I mean on that no one wants to die in war I look at it like this don't die for your country let some other guy die for his. Train our soldiers like they should be trained and we are in good hands. All these people think they know what to do you try to be in the Presidents shoes and then see what you would do. God bless our soldiers and my prayers are with them.
