If a person constantly cheats on their partner, then they should have a re-think of their relationship to see if its really worth it still being in it. There's no point in doing that if the person is lacking something for your taste. However, some cheating are mistakes, costly mistakes that once revealed to your partner, would have damaging consequences.
As for me, i don't really have a pricky conscience but i had a relationship where i cheated only once on my partner and when the relationship was well and truly over, i told him. Since he had gotten over me, he didn't flinch nor hate me.

Always keep quiet, you'll spoil the relationship and have a whole bunch of people hating you (partner's friends included). Why ruin your rep by trying to right a wrong or making yourself feel less guilt over what you have done? Forget about it and move on, can't change the fact that it's already been done....pretend nothing happened.

Firstly...DON'T DO IT!
Cheating makes for an unstable relationship.
If it's already happened, then it's too late and you're in the dog house for sure. If you aren't truthful and tell them first, they'll probably learn it from someone else. Best to tell them then and there and just get the problem out of your hands. If you hide it, it's like they don't mean anything to you and you don't care enough to be truthful with them over everything.

I have bad experiences telling exes I have cheated on them. dont hate me. I always found a way out of the relationship without bringing it up- cearly if you are cheating you arent happy 'at home'. Its so hurtful when someone cheats on you and to tell someone about it hurts even worse in my opinion. Most people say they want truth, but in realtiy, they cant deal with it. End it quietly, spare her the misery.
Good Luck

You should not cheat to start with. If you feel like you just have to have another man/ woman why not just break up with the guy/ girl first. You don't have to lie' you don't have to feel guilty. You are free.

I don't cheat so that I am never caught in this bind personally. I believe honesty is the best policy, the longer you wait the less they will be willing to forgive you.

Just be honest and get it over with. You've made a mistake and you have to face the consequences. You're not doing yourself or your partner any favors by hiding the truth.
