i wanted to find out why whenever someone asks a question.
possibly a yes or no question, you guys have to question why they are asking it, or tell them something that they arent even interested in hearing probably.
i mean, why not answer the question?
its a question and answer site for gosh's sake!!!

Well if they aren't interested in hearing peoples opinions.. they probably shouldn't ask a question.
A lot of people question the asker, because most of the time they never give out enough information to receive an informed answer.

Well...you have different categories of people here:
1. Serious ones who ask and answer seriously.
2. Whackos...questions are creepy and answers are creepier...
3. "Points fetish"ers..would answer "asdf" to get 2 points.
4. Smart alecs - would love to tell the world that they are smart asses.
So you could take your pick.

probably because it would give them a better idea of the situation so they can give the best answer they can. people are natually inquisitive.
