Those two colors are in nature. You just have to look at flowers. They are very beautiful together. They make me feel relaxed. They are in violets, and lilacs just to name two.

Greens and purples are great complimentary colors. I painted an accent wall a beautiful deep purple called "Shiraz" from Devine Color paints; on the adjoining walls I decided on a light green called Leaf #3 from Yolo Colorhouse, an environmentally friendly paint company. The green really compliments the purple and seems to lighten up the space too.
