good point. maybe the Pope is forced to wear that stuff. Did you ever see him in jeans and a t-shirt? He's the Pope, can't he make up the rules?
Muslim women wear the veil by choice. I think the Pope is trapped.

those who raise question about veil are the ones who r offended by everything thts related to muslims and islam.......they never give a solid reason for that objection, they just want to offend n tease the muslims by this,otherwise there is nothing worng with veil, its their religion n everyone should be given free liberty to exibit their religion. when muslims r not bothered by non-muslims outlook why they take pain to shout that much. saying that a lady with veil is not identified well, or talking to her looks awkward is just stupid excuses.......well a muslim lady cant stop wearing veil just to make her identification or for making others feel good..........veil is much more important than caring about others this kind of feelings...

Unjust comperison. In the first place Pope does not put a hood over his head and does not go to supermarket or go to school to
teach the childrens. Those people who are so religious, why do
they want to live in a non muslim country. They should all go to
an islamic country and live happy ever after. But the interesting
fact is, vail is least popular in many islamic country.

People are offended because they are closed-minded.
The Pope, like Muslim women does choose his robes. He can say no if he wants to - or at least he could have refused the papacy.

Careful talking about the pope, they deleted my comments about him.
People have said that muslim women are force to wear a hijab. This is not necessarply true. Most I have known have felt it an honour to wear it and fiercely defended their right to do so. In most cases they do not it until they are prepared to make the commitment to continue wearing it. I have known good muslim women in their thirties that do not wear the hijab

pssst! bug them about nuns! It's the exact same thing and nobody finds nuns offensive, now do they? they treat nuns with the utmost respect--and they should be treating muslim women in a similar fashion
